– while some projects may involve systems or technology, the focus is firmly on business change, governance, and process delivery across the organisation.You’ll report to the Head of Programmes and work closely with the Senior Project Manager, giving you both support and the chance to take on real responsibility.This is a

12-month fixed-term contract , offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-profile role.What You’ll Be DoingAs a Project Manager at LGPS Central, you’ll be right at the heart of delivering change across the business. You will:Plan and deliver a variety of

business change projects

(this is

not an IT Project Manager role ).Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables with input from colleagues.Manage project plans, risks, budgets, and dependencies.Support change impact assessments and help colleagues adapt to new processes.Prepare project documentation such as RAID logs, reports, and governance packs.Organise and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering groups.Collaborate across Investments, Finance, Governance, Operations, and other teams.Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.About UsLGPS Central (LGPSC) Ltd is the FCA-regulated asset manager for eight local authority pension funds across the Midlands. The Company moved to new premises at i9, Wolverhampton Interchange in January 2022, close to local transport links.RequirementsWe are looking for someone with:Project management experience, ideally within financial services, pensions, or another regulated environment.A good grasp of project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.A proactive, hands-on approach, with a real desire to develop further as a project manager.Qualifications:Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field.Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP) desirable.Change management certification (e.g. Prosci, APMG) desirableAsset Management or Banking experience desirableWhat do we offer?We are proud to provide our people with a premium and exclusive benefits package and we are continually improving the rewards we offer.
