Project Logistics ManagerLocation: Leeds, UKEmployment Type: Full-timeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced logistics professional to join a growing international freight forwarding operation as a Project Logistics Manager.This position would suit someone who enjoys working on challenging and varied movements rather than routine freight operations. You will be responsible for coordinating specialist and project cargo, working across multiple transport modes and managing each movement through to successful completion.You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where plans can change quickly and where strong decision-making, organisation and communication are essential.The Working EnvironmentThis is an office-based position, with the successful candidate expected to work from the office each day.Project logistics can involve changing priorities and situations that cannot always be predicted. The role therefore requires someone who is flexible and willing to provide additional support when a project demands it.Occasional overseas travel may also be required, depending on customer and project requirements.Your ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of allocated logistics projects from planning through to completion.Develop practical transport plans based on customer requirements, cargo specifications and delivery deadlines.Coordinate complex shipments across road, ocean and air freight networks.Source and manage appropriate hauliers, ..... full job details .....
