Project Health and Safety Advisor (construction) - West Yorkshire based (M62 corridor major projects across Yorkshire and the North-West) - well-established main building contractor. andpound;55k-andpound;60k+car or car allowance (andpound;5k) and excellent package, working for a respected company providing extensive training and development opportunities.

Ensuring support for effective management of Health andamp; Safety, responsibilities include:-
andbull; Compliance with HSE legislation and the health, safety and environmental requirements
andbull; Interface, communicate, liaise, and maintain effective relationships with Health, Safety and Environmental Management Team
andbull;andnbsp;Produce reports and identify remedial action, ensuring effective implementation
andbull;andnbsp;Ensure that Contractors employees, sub-contractors and suppliers all work in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements
andbull;andnbsp;Monitor housekeeping standards across the Contract, identify and implement improvement activities
andbull;andnbsp;Review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
andbull; Audit the permit to work process to ensure that company standards are maintained
andbull; Provide COSHH assessments where required and ensure effectiveness of supply chain documentation
andbull; Ensure that PPE is being used in accordance with requirements
andbull; Ensure that health and safety signage and guards are in place and maintained
andbull; Monitor fire precautions to ensure compliance with standards
andbull;andnbsp;Ensure that all emergency procedures and requirements are in place and are effective
andbull;andnbsp;Ensure that the CDM Regulations are applied where necessary
andbull;andnbsp;Undertake periodic HSE inspections for compliance to legal standards
andbull;andnbsp;Support operational managers in the review of subcontractors RAMS

Qualifications/experience required :-
andbull; NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum essential requirement) / NEBOSH Construction certificate (desired)
andbull; Membership of a professional body (eg IOSH, IIRSM, APS)
andbull; Construction site-based health and safety experience (essential)
andbull; Experience of steel erection/construction, working at height, dealing with MEWPs (desired)andnbsp;
