Teamforce Labour-are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer / Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join our client on a permanent basis, working on a major civil engineering project in Acton.
The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background with proven site-based experience and a good understanding of temporary works procedures. You will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of the project while coordinating temporary works in accordance with relevant standards and project procedures.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage temporary works across the project.
- Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
- Ensure temporary works are properly identified, designed, checked, approved and implemented.
- Liaise with Temporary Works Designers, engineers, subcontractors and site management.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS, ITPs, RFIs and other project documentation.
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with the design.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure temporary works are installed correctly.
- Monitor quality and ensure works comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
- Support planning and sequencing of civil engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Site Engineer or similar within civil engineering.
- Previous experience carrying out Temporary Works Coordinator duties.
- Good knowledge of temporary works and BS 5975.
- Recognised TWC qualification/training.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering construction operations.
- Experience producing and reviewing technical site documentation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification preferred.
- CSCS and appropriate site management/safety qualifications.
