Project Engineer - Aircraft Modifications Somerton, Somerset12-Month Contract £400p/h - £450p/h About the Opportunity We are working with an established and highly specialised aviation engineering organisation that delivers aircraft modification and aftermarket design solutions across the UK and internationally. The Role As Project Engineer, you will act as a key engineering interface between the organisation and its customers, ensuring projects are delivered effectively from initial concept through to completion. You will work within a multidisciplinary and matrix environment, coordinating engineering activities across areas including structures, mechanical systems, avionics, electrical systems and aircraft interiors. Key Responsibilities - Act as the primary engineering interface between the business and its clients throughout the project lifecycle. - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring clear communication of technical requirements, progress and project issues. - Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated and certifiable aircraft modification solutions. - Support the development of initial design concepts in accordance with aircraft manufacturer requirements, engineering standards and best practice. - Provide engineering liaison support at manufacturing and installation sites, helping to resolve issues relating to fit, form, function and manufacturing constraints . - Coordinate technical inputs across structural, ..... full job details .....
