Job Role: Project Engineer Location: Sheffield Salary: 40k + Benefits Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Metalis is recruiting an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation. This varied and influential role combines hands-on engineering expertise with technical project leadership. You will take ownership of engineering projects from initial concept through to manufacture, installation, commissioning and ongoing support. Acting as the technical lead, you will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial enquiry and concept development through to installation, commissioning and support. Act as the technical lead, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. Develop technical specifications and translate customer requirements into safe, practical and manufacturable engineering solutions. Produce engineering drawings, BOMs, calculations, project plans and technical documentation using SolidWorks and other engineering tools. Carry out design verification, including load assessments, stress analysis and structural calculations.
