Project Engineer - Energy from Waste

Astute are working on behalf of a leading operator of Energy from Waste plants to find a Project Engineer for their largest assets located in the South East of England.The Energy from Waste site in the Kent area has a capacity to process 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, generating 34MW of power for the surrounding area.As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for taking the site lead on all plant and equipment upgrades from conception through to delivery and execution.If you have the relevant experience (please see below) and are looking for a rewarding role in the Power sector, then please apply.Responsibilities and duties of the Project Engineer role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:Responsible for the conception, delivery and execution of plant process and equipment upgrade projects on the facility.Carry out risk assessments, tender specifications, and progress reports on projects.Manage, monitor and evaluate third party sub-contractors engaged on site.Support the wider Engineering team with the planning and completion of outages across three waste processing lines and also steam turbine and generator.Coordinate and manage all statutory inspections for lifting and pressure systems covering steam boilers, common systems and auxiliary equipment.Provide technical support on plant issues.
