Project Engineer
- Undertake technical/engineering tasks within a light rail engineering environment (including the following disciplines : traction power, depot upgrades, SC&C and asset management). Progress scheme design and construction, which may include (but are not limited to); scheme investigation, site inspections, data collection and analysis, design, works/construction inspection and supervision.
- Project manage and deliver to the agreed standards of time, quality, cost and safety, various projects that form part of the -100m Mass Transit renewal programme.

Mass Transit (-100m Renewal of Sheffield Supertram)
Use knowledge and experience in the design and construction of relevant engineering projects to
- Manage multi-disciplinary Project Teams including internal team members, external partners, stakeholders, transport operators, professional advisors, and contractors.
- Exercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions to engineering problems
- Manage projects successfully including monitoring progress, problem solving and making timely decisions to ensure projects remain on budget and programme.
- Produce, communicate, manage and update project information through all project stages including but not exclusively; schedules, reports, risk plans, change and cost measures, monthly reporting, final accounts and forecasting.
- Be responsible for the successful financial management of projects including fees, construction, contingencies and direct costs and ensure that costs are forecast accurately and timely.
- Ensure that all project work is carried out in compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations (with appropriate specialist advice where necessary).
