An established Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major, high-value industrial development in the South East.

This is a significant and highly complex project, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior construction professional to take overall responsibility for delivery and lead a large multidisciplinary team.

As Project Director, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, providing strategic leadership across all aspects of construction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overall leadership and management of the project.
• Responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality and health & safety.
• Leading and developing a large project team.
• Managing senior client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
• Overseeing design, procurement and construction activities.
• Managing key subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
• Driving programme performance and delivery against key milestones.
• Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
• Ensuring strong project governance and reporting.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

We are looking for an established Project Director or Senior Project Manager with experience delivering large-scale, complex construction projects, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, defence, data centre or other technically demanding environments.

You will ideally have:

• Experience delivering projects of significant value.
• Strong leadership experience within a Tier 1 contractor environment.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams.
• A proven track record of delivering complex projects safely, on programme and to budget.
• Relevant construction or engineering qualifications.

This is a high-profile senior appointment with the opportunity to lead a major project and play a key role within an established delivery team.
