Project Director - Power Projects (Transmission and Distribution) A Tier 1 contractor is seeking a Project Director to lead the delivery of major power infrastructure projects across Scotland, supporting long-term frameworks with key transmission clients. Location: Glasgow / Central Belt, Scotland Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + Car / Allowance + Bonus + Package Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days site / office, 2 days home) The Opportunity You will work on large-scale grid reinforcement and upgrade schemes forming part of the UK''s Net Zero strategy, delivering critical improvements to the transmission network. Project Scope Projects focus on high-voltage transmission infrastructure, typically including: • 400kV / 275kV / 132kV substations (new build and upgrades) • Overhead Line construction and refurbishment • Underground cable installations and grid connections • Integration of renewable energy into the transmission network Typical schemes range from £100m to £1bn+, delivered through multi-year frameworks across Scotland. Role Overview As Project Director, you will act as the accountable lead for project delivery, responsible for: • Full lifecycle delivery: ECI, design, construction and commissioning • Commercial performance, programme management and risk • Leading multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, commercial and operations • Managing client and stakeholder relationships within regulated environments Key Responsibilities • Lead delivery of £100m+ power projects ..... full job details .....
