Overview
Project Director – Infrastructure Project Management at Turner and Townsend. We’re seeking experienced leaders to deliver a wide range of high-profile infrastructure projects and programmes across public and private sectors, including Aviation, Highways, Rail, Environment, Utilities, and more. This role is based in London with hybrid working options depending on client requirements.Responsibilities
Significant experience managing multiple disciplines/teams/advisors/clients on high value, complex infrastructure programmes across the lifecycle; able to set and challenge strategy.Provide strong leadership, set high standards, manage performance, and work efficiently to meet stakeholder expectations in ambiguous environments.Lead health, safety, and wellbeing within your sphere; practical understanding of CDM; act as duty holder when required.Shape future business direction, drive innovation and sustainability, and identify future needs to address challenges.Continuously improve and transform offerings; encourage calculated risk-taking and growth within a collaborative, inclusive environment.Foster inclusive teamwork, build trust with clients and partners, and promote a one-business mindset across Turner and Townsend and the industry.Develop client and industry partnerships, learn from trends outside the industry, and apply insights to improve performance.Inspire others, mentor colleagues, develop leadership potential, and establish succession planning.Build long-term trusted adviser relationships with clients while challenging inappropriate behaviour.Demonstrate a growth mindset, curiosity, and a role-model attitude; promote inclusive environments.Qualifications
Beneficial Experience:
Experience with complex procurement forms (NEC/other contracts).Experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors on infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.Experience in highly regulated environments.Experience in consultancy and/or client-side project management.Familiarity with public sector organisations and sustainability applications to projects.Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in management, construction, or infrastructure or equivalent experience.Professional affiliation with APM, ICE, or equivalent; project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP/MoP/ChPP).NEC accreditations or qualifications; CSCS or equivalent; sustainability credentials; safety qualifications; leadership certifications.Employment details
