We are seeking an experienced Project Director with a strong background in managing high-value, large-scale infrastructure or local authority construction projects.About the Role:As Project Director, you will assume overall strategic and operational responsibility for delivering the civil and highways components of a major campus development. You will ensure all aspects are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Acting as the senior point of contact for the client, executive stakeholders, and delivery teams, you will lead the project from inception through to completion.You will be accountable for aligning project objectives with organizational goals, managing risk, maintaining governance, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for a senior professional with strong commercial, technical, and stakeholder engagement expertise.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership for the delivery of complex highways and civil engineering projects within a live campus or urban environmentDirect and oversee all stages of the project lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, handover, and post-project reviewLead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration between local authorities, consultants, utility providers, and contractorsEnsure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and CDM regulationsTake ownership of programme performance, budget control, forecasting, and risk managementDrive stakeholder engagement, maintain client relationships, and manage high-level reporting to executive leadershipLead contract negotiation, claims management, and commercial administrationChair strategic project boards and represent the project at senior-level forumsRequirements:Extensive experience in leading complex, high-value infrastructure or campus development projectsIn-depth knowledge of civil and highways engineering principles and delivery methodsProven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholder groupsStrong commercial acumen and expertise in contract managementDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)SMSTS certification and valid UK driving license essentialIf you''re ready to take on a senior leadership role in a dynamic and innovative development environment, please apply with your updated CV or contact Hugo Rodrigues at our London office on 07856 918880.Seniority level
