The Role: Project Design Manager

Main Responsibilities (Project Design Manager):-
Manage design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring industry standards are met.

Oversee project lead times, ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Lead and mentor the design team, including reviews and development support.

Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders and external customers.

Conduct project reviews and lead design meetings.

Participate in technical reviews and provide guidance on design for tooling and production.

Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks.

Support tooling development and attend tool trials when required.

Collaborate with sales, tooling, and production teams to deliver customer-focused projects.

Strong background in design and project management.

Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).

Proven ability to design with tooling, manufacturing, and production efficiency in mind.

Previous experience managing and mentoring design teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good knowledge of relevant design standards.
