Project Design Engineer

A growing and innovative engineering business is seeking an experienced Project Design Engineer to join its engineering team. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke mechanical and process systems for a range of industrial sectors and is looking for an engineer who can take ownership of projects from initial concept through to installation and customer handover.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically varied, one-off projects where no two solutions are the same. Hybrid Working The RoleThe Project Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering bespoke engineering projects throughout the full lifecycle. You''ll work closely with customers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and installation engineers to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and delivered to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Project Mechanical Design Engineer will manage projects from concept design through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.Develop innovative engineering solutions based on customer requirements.Create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.The Project Design Engineer will liaise with suppliers and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.Support shop floor manufacturing and assembly activities.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and customer specifications.Track project progress and assist with ..... full job details .....
