As part of an expanding asset investment and building safety programme, they are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join their project delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction, building safety, retrofit, or planned works professional to manage the successful delivery of complex capital projects while ensuring compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, and value for money.

Description

• Deliver planned works, building safety remediation, and retrofit sustainability projects across a residential property portfolio.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
• Act as the key point of contact for project stakeholders, providing leadership and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead customer engagement activities, ensuring residents are informed, consulted, and supported throughout project delivery.
• Manage external consultants, contractors, and specialist service partners to achieve agreed programme objectives.
• Monitor project performance, programme milestones, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring robust financial control.
• Authorise task orders, contractor valuations, and project account settlements.
• Chair or deputise for pre-contract, pre-commencement, and progress meetings as required.
• Ensure contractors and consultants deliver excellent standards of workmanship, compliance, and customer service.
• Monitor health and safety performance across projects, ensuring full compliance with legislation, regulations, and organisational procedures.
• Provide oversight of project risks and issues, implementing mitigation measures where required.
• Support the delivery of building safety and fire safety remediation programmes, including works associated with regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to programme planning, budget setting, and asset investment strategies.
• Work collaboratively with asset management, building safety, compliance, and resident engagement teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, reports, and audit trails across relevant management systems.
• Ensure complaints, resident concerns, and project escalations are managed effectively and resolved promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practice across future programmes.
• Drive value for money, quality assurance, and contract compliance across all projects.
• Provide professional advice and guidance on construction, building safety, and retrofit matters.

Profile

• Educated to Level 5 (HND) or above in Building, Construction, Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering building safety remediation, planned investment, major works, or retrofit sustainability projects.
• Knowledge of current building safety, fire safety, and retrofit legislation, regulations, and best practice.
• Experience delivering projects within occupied residential environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
• Experience maintaining accurate project records, compliance documentation, and performance reporting.
• Membership of a recognised professional body such as RICS, CIOB, APM, or equivalent.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• CFPA Diploma in Fire Prevention, Fire Safety qualification, or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, PAS 2030/2035, sprinkler installation standards, and associated legislation.
• Extensive knowledge of building and fire safety remediation programmes.
• Understanding of social housing asset management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
