Westlakes Recruit is recruiting for a
Project Controls Manager
to lead the implementation and management of project controls measures across major, complex projects and programmes. This is a pivotal role that will see you overseeing project scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality controls, enabling strategic performance analysis and providing insights to inform effective decision-making. You will work closely with Project and Programme Managers while leading and developing a team of project controls professionals.The Role
As Project Controls Manager, you will:Establish and maintain project controls governance, processes, and proceduresDefine and manage the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for scope, cost, and scheduleLead scheduling teams to develop and manage integrated project schedules across all phases of executionOversee cost, change, risk, opportunity, and document management processesDeliver accurate and reliable reporting to support project and programme decision-makingManage subcontractor data to monitor delivery performance and inform the PMBEnsure the alignment and integration of project control toolsets across all delivery partnersImplement Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and produce performance reports for stakeholdersLead risk management processes, including schedule risk analysis and regular reportingSupport Integrated Baseline Reviews to build confidence in project delivery plansMentor and develop project controls staff to support capability growth and succession planningMaintain all key project controls documentation, ensuring effective configuration controlProvide weekly and monthly progress and metrics reports for stakeholdersDeputise for the Project Manager when requiredAbout You
We''re looking for someone who:Has proven experience in project controls on complex or major projects/programmesUnderstands planning/scheduling, cost management, risk management, performance management (EVM), change management, and configuration controlCan apply and assure project controls governance measures across large projectsHas experience with project control toolsets such as MSP, P6, RiskHive, ERP, or SAP systemsHas strong leadership skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and customersIs an effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levelsHas experience mentoring and developing project teamsCan balance project outcomes, compliance, quality, and business performance when making decisionsAdditional Information
Security Clearance:
