About the Role
The Project Control Officer (DV Cleared) position in Milton Keynes offers a daily rate of £360–£365 for a full-time contract through Network IT. Supporting a Project Management team, this role involves comprehensive control across a portfolio, collaborating closely with Programme and Project Managers. Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, governance support, and ensuring delivery aligns with agreed plans. Acting as a central contact for stakeholders, you will coordinate meetings, manage risks and issues, support commercial reviews, and maintain documentation. Monitoring workstreams and challenging progress are key duties. Network IT Recruitment is currently hiring for a highly experienced Project Control Officer to join and support a Project Management team with our client in Milton Keynes.
This is a challenging opportunity to provide comprehensive project support across a portfolio of projects, working closely with Programme and Project Managers.
You’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track, managing project controls, monitoring budgets and costs, supporting governance and ensuring delivery against agreed plans and business requirements.You’ll act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate project and programme meetings, manage risks and issues, support commercial gate reviews and maintain project documentation.
You’ll also monitor workstreams, challenge progress where required, maintain project plans using MS Project, and produce regular financial and project reports.
Please note, the level of clearance required for this role is DV (we can consider SC Cleared candidates). We are only able to accept applications from candidates with British Citizenship.
Rate: Circa £360 per day
Duration: 6 Months

Essential skills & experience:
- Background in Project Support / Project Controls / Project Administration, supporting Project Management teams.
- A background in projects within Defence, Government or the Public Sector.
- Excellent drafting and minute taking skills.
- Strong numerical and project financial skills.
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Project 2007.
- Experience working in a project environment, ideally supporting large projects or multiple projects.
- Project related qualification, such as APM Fundamentals or Prince 2.
- Knowledge of Oracle financial systems.
