Collaborate: Assisting PMs, Project Directors, and Lead Verifiers in the commercial management of projects to ensure successful delivery.Provide Expertise: Apply knowledge of contract and risk management to enhance project performance, focusing on contract communications, change management, programme, delay damages, key contract dates, and insurances. Carry out detailed analyses of challenged projects and report issues and findings from both commercial and finance compliance perspectives.Ensure Quality: Use contract administration platforms such as CEMAR and Asite to oversee client communications and instructions. Ensure changes are managed rigorously with focus on commercial implications of change and risk management.Oversee: Participate in project reviews, commercial discussions with clients and suppliers, and ensure execution of action items. Oversee the preparation of subcontract documents to ensure a back-to-back position.Mentor: Coach technical staff to heighten their commercial awareness and expertise.Deliver: Work to reduce disallowed costs and efficiently manage expenditures from AECOM and its subcontractors/suppliers. Contribute to the development of Go/No-Go documents for new projects or significant changes.Scope of projects:Water Treatment Plants: Designing and constructing facilities for treating drinking water to ensure safety and quality standards.Wastewater Treatment Plants: Developing systems for treating wastewater to remove contaminants before release.Flood Risk Management: Implementing flood defense systems, including levees, floodwalls, and stormwater management solutions.Water Supply Systems: Planning and constructing infrastructure for distribution of clean water, including pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations.Hydraulic Modelling: Using software to simulate water flow and optimize design.River and Coastal Engineering: Erosion control, habitat restoration, and sustainable development practices.Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS): Designing systems to manage urban runoff.Desalination Projects: Developing facilities to convert seawater to potable water.Water Resource Management: Strategies for sustainable management, including conservation and quality monitoring.Irrigation Systems: Designing efficient irrigation systems to support agriculture.Qualifications
Experience in a legal, commercial or financial role within the engineering or construction industry.Preferably a degree (or equivalent) in finance, law, quantity surveying, commercial management or engineering; postgraduate business qualifications are advantageous.Knowledge of contract law and infrastructure project contracts; experience with forms such as NEC3/NEC4, government frameworks, and bespoke design and build agreements.Experience in project, commercial and risk management, including client-facing roles.Experience communicating with clients, subcontractors, and subconsultants to proactively resolve commercial performance concerns/risks.Additional Information
