Are you a high-energy professional who lives and breathes compliance? A leading FM provider is seeking a Project & Compliance Manager to join their most significant account in the Surrey area. This is a newly created, client-funded role focused on bringing "cleaner" structure to a five-year fire safety programme.
Based out of Surrey, you will be the driving force behind statutory risk mitigation, ensuring every quote, remedial work, and project is delivered with precision and transparency.
The Role As the Project & Compliance Manager, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of capital reactive replacements and major fire safety projects. You’ll:
- Manage the Lifecycle: Lead the delivery of Service Orders and projects from initial scope and estimation to CDM coordination and final handover.
- Fire Safety Specialist: Act as the technical lead for fire-related remedial works arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), passive surveys, and statutory inspections.
- Commercial Oversight: Interface with the supply chain and commercial teams to challenge subcontractor quotes, ensuring value for money and alignment with the public sector price book.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Act as a key link for the client, managing early warning notices, redistributing revenue where needed, and identifying opportunities for savings.
- Governance & Data: Maintain flawless audit trails and project records, ensuring all asset data and test certificates are captured in the CAFM system.
- Operational Presence: Be a visible leader, spending a minimum of 2–3 days per week in the Reigate office to maintain close ties with the site and ops leads.
- Expertise: You must know compliance inside out—specifically fire safety legislation, M&E systems (Fire Alarms, HVAC), and CDM regulations.
- Personality: A high-energy, "over-communicator" who isn''t just a number cruncher, but someone who can suggest ideas to improve a currently "immature" set-up.
- Qualifications: A degree or qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management (APM/PRINCE2) along with IOSH/NEBOSH or specific Fire Safety certifications.
- Background: Proven experience in managing minor projects and reactive works within an outsourced FM or Local Authority environment.
- Location: Ideally living in or near Surrey to support the daily travel required across the portfolio.
- Salary: Up to £50,000 - £60,000
- Opportunity: A five-year pipeline of work with significant bidding opportunities for future projects.
- Culture: A collaborative team where you work alongside the Service Manager and Works Manager to professionalize a major contract.
