Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential£ We are seeking a dedicated Progress and Support Tutor to join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality pastoral care, tutorial support, and progression guidance to post-16 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging group and one-to-one tutorial sessions aligned with a central Scheme of Learning.
- Provide personalised support to students, addressing barriers to learning, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Liaise with teaching staff and support services to ensure students receive tailored interventions.
- Support students with progression planning, personal development, and safeguarding needs.
- Contribute to cross-college events and activities that promote inclusion and student engagement.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree or relevant Level 3 qualification.
- English and Maths at Level 2.
- Experience in delivering personal development activities and pastoral support to young people.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in education.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable:
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
- Knowledge of strategies to support mental health, behaviour, and attendance.
