Programme Manager

A global engineering group manufacturing complex metal solutions to the Aerospace, Defence and High Technology sectors is expanding one of its operations and has a new vacancy for a Programme Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, the position will be responsible for the successful delivery of key customer programmes from contract through to delivery and key account management. Applicants are sought with proven experience of successful New Product Introduction and strong account management skills gained within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, Defence, etc) The Role Work with new and existing customers to understand requirements, expectations, contractual obligations and strategic objectives. Establish appropriate programme governance and reporting structures. Ensure programme actions are clearly defined, owned and closed within agreed timescales Establish programme objectives, milestones, deliverables and governance arrangements. Lead regular customer programme reviews and performance meetings. Own the customer-facing programme schedule. Work closely with the production and supply Chain teams to ensure customer demand is understood. Monitor customer OTD and programme milestone performance. Identify potential delivery risks before they impact the customer. Lead recovery plans for late deliveries, capacity constraints, quality issues and supplier delays.
