OverviewJoin East Kent College as Programme Director for Health and Social Care/Employability. This role combines teaching with curriculum leadership to shape the future of our learners. EKC Ashford College invites you to innovate learning, unlock potential and shape student success.

Responsibilities

Teach, support and assess students across Health and Social Care programmes, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.

Design and deliver a distinctive curriculum that meets student needs and local/regional skills demands.

Lead and coordinate the delivery team, ensuring students have up-to-date course information and support throughout their studies.

Create engaging programme activities that enhance understanding of objectives, assessments, and awarding body requirements.

Develop course materials such as handbooks and resources to provide clarity and structure for learners.

Work collaboratively with department leadership to drive outstanding student progress and success.

Provide academic leadership and guidance, shaping the future of our Health and Social Care curriculum.

Manage the delivery and accreditation of programmes, ensuring courses meet the highest standards.

Use your teaching expertise and vocational knowledge to equip students with the skills and confidence they need for their future careers.

Build strong partnerships with colleagues, employers and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for learners.

Oversee the curriculum from the ground up, while continuing to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

Please note: there are two salary scale points for Programme Director positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Employees can move up the salary scale after one academic year, subject to approval. Internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, but should seek clarification.
