Production Worker Shift Times: Monday- Friday 37.5 Hours Pay Rate: 12.21ph rising to 12.65 after 12 weeks on site Location: Poole, BH17 0RZJob Purpose / Overview We are seeking an experienced Production Operative to join our established team manufacturing high-quality gas detection products. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of production practices and procedures, be highly quality-focused, and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.Role Responsibilities Assemble gas detection products from multiple subassemblies using mechanical assembly techniques and/or soldering of component parts. Test and calibrate subassemblies on the production line to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerance requirements. Record process yields to support quality monitoring and continuous improvement. Identify and repair units that fail tests or fall outside of tolerance levels. Carry out daily checks on assembly processes, ensuring all process metrics are followed. Work safely and proactively contribute to a strong safety culture through safety observations. Actively participate in Honeywell Operating System (HOS), 5S housekeeping, Kaizen continuous improvements, and SQDCI metrics. Perform potting/encapsulation operations as a primary responsibility. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship or formal training in a relevant technical/production field may be required.
