About the Role
This Production Welder role in Lye offers £14.50 per hour on a full-time basis, initially temporary with permanent potential. Hours run Monday to Thursday, 8:00am until 4:30pm, with an early finish each Friday. Duties include MIG welding steel components and fabricated items, interpreting drawings and specifications, and using jigs, fixtures and workshop equipment. The successful candidate will inspect completed welds against required standards, collaborate within a production team to hit deadlines, and keep the work area safe and orderly. Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is essential for this hands-on position.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Welder to join a busy manufacturing business based in Dudley.
The company manufactures a range of steel products and materials-handling equipment, working across different industrial sectors. This is a hands-on production role working within a busy workshop environment.
The Role
- MIG welding steel components and fabricated products
- Working from drawings and specifications
- Using jigs, fixtures and workshop equipment
- Checking welds and finished products to ensure they meet the required standard
- Working as part of a production team to meet deadlines
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Previous experience in MIG welding / production welding
- Able to work from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication and steelwork
- Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant welding/fabrication experience is preferred
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Early finish on Friday
- £14.50 per hour
