Development and Production Test Engineer - Electronic/ElectricalLocation: Bolton (fully onsite)Duration: 12 monthsRate: 34- 37 p/h (Umbrella)IR35: InsideClearance: SC (can start on BPSS)OverviewWe''re currently seeking a Development and Production Test Engineer (Electronics/Electrical) to support testing and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards during the production phase of the product lifecycle. You''ll provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing test capability, helping ensure programme targets are achieved to agreed time, cost, and quality.Responsibilities: Provide test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including supporting the introduction of new test equipment Test and diagnose complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies and circuit cards down to component level Generate test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports (based on higher-level requirements and information) Identify remedial/corrective actions following production test failures to keep manufacturing running to plan Support meetings with Quality and Operations, providing status updates on actions and investigationsSkillset/experience required:Essential: Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline Strong understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement/test principles and fault diagnosis (down to component level) Awareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration and test ..... full job details .....
