Experience with optical related products highly beneficial. The Technician role will focus on the electro/opto-mechanical assembly and test of a variety of mission critical imaging and security systems covering the manufacture and testing of mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies, component level fault-finding and documentation. The successful Technician should bring the following skills & experience: An Engineering qualification or equivalent relevant industrial experience. Proficiency in electro-mechanical / opto-mechanical assembly techniques including soldering, wiring and cable/harness assembly. Some PCB repair skills. Good fault-finding and debugging skills. An understanding of clean room techniques. The ability to read schematics. A basic understanding of mechanical design software and appreciation of electronic principles.
