Production Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB25)Duration: Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week Flexible with core hours between 10am and 4pm (Monday to Friday)Salary: CompetitiveJob Reference: 36169Polytec are looking for a Production Technician for our client based just north of Cambridge.Responsibilities:- Electro-mechanical assembly and testing of a variety of infrared thermal imaging related products- Production work ranging from cable assembly through to full system build and test, involving job and batch quantities- Manufacture and test of mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies- Component-level fault finding, troubleshooting and debugging- Recording and documenting assembly and test activities- Working as part of a production team to support the manufacture of high-quality products- Following engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions- Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail throughout the production processRequirements:- A formal Engineering or relevant technical qualification- Understanding of electronic fundamentals- Troubleshooting, fault finding and debugging skills- SMT soldering (to 0201) and PCB repair skills- Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience- Computer literate- Ability to read schematic designs- Proficient in the use of standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs and signal generators- Understanding of clean room techniques for opto-mechanical assemblyPlease contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
