Production Technician

Prototype TechnicianLocation: Maidenhead Hourly Rate: £30 per hour PAYE / £40 per hour umbrella We re working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to bring an experienced Prototype Technician into their team. This is a hands-on role, supporting the build and development of low-volume and prototype products across both electro-mechanical and PCB assembly. This position would suit someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working closely with engineering teams to bring new products to life.As a Prototype Technician, you ll be responsible for building and assembling a range of prototype and low-volume products. Duties will include:Electro-mechanical assembly of complex products and sub-assembliesPCB assembly including both through-hole and surface mount solderingWorking from engineering drawings, schematics and build instructionsSupporting prototype builds, testing and product development activitiesFault finding, debugging and reworking assemblies where requiredAssisting engineers with design improvements and build feedbackWiring, crimping and cable assembly workCarrying out quality checks to ensure builds meet required standardsMaintaining a clean, organised and ESD-compliant workspaceTo be successful in this Prototype Technician role, you ll need:Proven experience in a prototype, RandD, or low-volume manufacturing environmentStrong electro-mechanical assembly skillsConfident PCB assembly experience, including through-hole and surface mount ..... full job details .....
