ISQ Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering company in Ely, who are looking to appoint a Production Team Supervisor to oversee a small team on the shop floor. This role is about leadership, organisation, and supporting your team to deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently.
About the Role
You''ll lead a small group of production operatives, making sure daily tasks are completed to schedule and to a high standard. Alongside running the day-to-day, you''ll also support improvements in processes, ensure safe working practices, and keep communication flowing between production, engineering, and planning teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a small production team, ensuring daily targets are achieved
- Support hands-on production activities when needed
- Monitor quality standards and highlight issues early
- Maintain safe working practices and keep risk assessments up to date
- Run team meetings to communicate priorities and progress
- Identify training needs and support team development
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing or production
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
- Good communication skills and the ability to support, coach, and motivate others
- Practical understanding of safe working practices
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to get hands-on when needed
