Production Line Leader

-15.64 per hour | 40 hours per week

Ickburgh, just outside Mundford
Monday-Friday | 6am-2pm

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Production Line Leader to join our team at our Ickburgh site.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, overseeing the day-to-day running of the production shift and supporting a team of Production Operatives. You''ll play an important role in ensuring production runs safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the production shift and production staff

• Ensuring production operates efficiently and to maximum capacity

• Providing clear instructions and paperwork to Production Operatives

• Ensuring production records, quality checks and paperwork are completed accurately

• Monitoring production figures and reporting any issues to the Production Supervisor

• Resolving production issues quickly and escalating where required

• Ensuring equipment is operated and maintained correctly

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping and food safety

• Ensuring waste, packaging and damaged products are disposed of correctly

• Placing ingredients or products on hold when required

• Making adjustments to water additions to ensure finished products meet specification

• Identifying training needs and supporting the development of team members

• Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback

• Providing effective handovers to the following Line Leader

• Ensuring all company procedures, quality standards and SOPs are followed

• Identifying and reporting potential hazards immediately

• Promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement

We''re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in a production or manufacturing environment

• Confident supervising and coordinating a team

• Able to manage the day-to-day running of a production area

• Knowledgeable about food safety and quality standards

• Organised, reliable and able to complete paperwork accurately

• Confident dealing with production issues and making decisions

• A good communicator who can motivate and support a team

• Safety conscious with a strong understanding of workplace procedures

• Comfortable working in a busy production environment

• Able to work independently and take ownership of their area

• Positive, professional and willing to get involved

Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2 and Health & Safety training (IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 equivalent) are required. Training may be provided where appropriate.

Overtime is paid at double time after completion of weekly contractual hours.
