Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy is delighted to be partnering a leading manufacturing business based in Diss as they search for an experienced and dynamic Production Team Leader.
 
This role is ideal for an experienced team leader who can inspire, guide, and lead a team to success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 depending on level of experience.
Rotating shifts, Monday to Friday: 6am-2pm | 2pm - 10pm
 
Leadership at the heart of the role:

  • Lead, motivate, and support your production team to achieve daily targets.
  • Act as the go-to leader on shift - setting standards, providing coaching, and resolving challenges as they arise.
  • Monitor and manage team performance - give constructive feedback to help individuals grow.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability across the factory floor.
  • Work closely with Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure your team has what they need to succeed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead your team through change.
What we''re looking for:
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • A motivational leader who thrives on developing others and getting the best out of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet and keep production moving.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and quality procedures.
  • Excellent communication, confident in giving direction, feedback, and building positive relationships.
  • Experience of production planning and scheduling is desirable.
  • Collaboration with customers and suppliers to achieve performance targets and maintain effective quality processes.
Technical Skills
  • Lead the Quality Department, overseeing daily quality records, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan, develop and manage the ISO 9001 System to maintain compliance and approvals.
  • Monitor and manage non-conformance systems and customer complaints, utilising tools such as 8Ds and 5 Whys to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and ensure all processes align with company standards.
  • Report monthly quality KPIs, including On Time Delivery, reject levels, and associated trends to senior leadership.
