Production Supervisor – Outskirts Maidstone
Salary: £35,569 per annum (£15.20 per hour)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (45 hours per week)
Holiday: 25 days + 8 public holidays
We’re hiring on behalf of our client for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join their growing operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about quality, efficiency, and team wellbeing.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Production Shift Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping both automated and manual production lines running smoothly. You’ll act as the first point of contact for production teams, providing day-to-day support, driving performance, and ensuring high standards across the board.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee raw material stock levels across all production areas
- Lead quality control processes, identifying issues and supporting resolution of complaints
- Ensure production plans and line changeovers are delivered efficiently
- Provide first-line support to production teams, promoting a positive and supportive working environment
- Monitor productivity, efficiencies, and working hours
- Support daily people management activities and team coordination
- Maintain production lines and surrounding areas to high standards
- Deliver clear shift handovers, highlighting key issues and risks
- Ensure Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes are followed correctly
- Support monthly stocktakes
- Act as a Health & Safety champion, ensuring compliance and driving standards
- Embed company values, including sustainability and B Corp principles, into daily operations
- Contribute to a culture where everyone feels included, motivated, and proud of their work
- Previous supervisory experience within production, manufacturing, or operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support teams
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- A proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
- Solid understanding of production processes and health & safety regulations
Desirable:
- Experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing
