What you''ll be responsible for

  • Lead production teams across weekday shifts, fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment.
  • Deliver production targets safely, on time and to quality standards, balancing people, process and materials.
  • Act as a visible role model for Health & Safety and quality, embedding STOP culture and compliance.
  • Coach, develop and performance-manage Team Leaders and Technicians, supporting wellbeing and capability growth.
  • Manage people matters fairly and consistently, including attendance, performance and investigations.
  • Use operational data to understand performance, identify trends and drive improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Training and HR to resolve issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement by encouraging ideas, applying Lean principles and supporting change on the shop floor.

  • Clear, respectful and able to adapt communication skills to your audience - no ego
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) are helpful but your mindset, leadership style and practical experience matter most.
