Production Supervisor – CNC Machining

• Salary: £38,000  to £40,000 per annum + shift allowance 
• Working hours: Days & Afters. Day Shift: Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm / Afters Shift: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm
• This is a Full time, Permanent position

We are recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy and growing manufacturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong CNC machining background who can lead from the front, support production performance, and drive quality and efficiency across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and support daily production activities within the CNC machining department
• Lead, motivate, and develop machine operators and setters
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved
• Provide technical support and problem-solving on the shop floor
• Monitor machining performance, downtime, and efficiency
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to improve production flow and performance

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Team Leader position within precision engineering/manufacturing
• Strong CNC machining background essential
• Experience with 5-Axis machining centres
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
• Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
• Experience driving continuous improvement and shop floor efficiencies
