Production Supervisor

A market leading company based in Bootle is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor/Team Leader-to join their growing company.

Part of global group my client specialise in the manufacture and supply of award winning composite doors and fire doors for commercial and residential markets.- The company is going from strength to strength with exciting growth plans for their UK site.

As a result of this they are growing their CNC/Machining-teams, and are seeking-a Production Supervisor/Team Leader-to lead their 6am - 2pm shift (Monday to Friday)

Your role will involve:

• Ensuring all product are made to specification
• Driving KPIs and Accountability for the team
• Leading and promoting-better working practises and improvements.
• Quality Assurance / Control
• Responsible for Training and Deveopment of the team
• Focusing on producing a quality product, in line with the production planning schedule whilst ensuring targets are met
• Working hands on with the machines if there is a staff shortage for any reason

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Team Supervision experience a necessity
• CNC Machining Experience ideal
• Wood, Composite, Injection Moulding, furniture-experience would be useful
• Other machine knowledge such as beam saws, edge banders-would be beneficial
• Enthusiasm to help improve production processes
• Knowledge of Lean Principles and 5S
• Good communication skills
