URGENT Shift Leader - Production Basingstoke £32,500 Afternoon Shift (2pm-10pm) We''re recruiting on behalf of a well-established production/manufacturing business in the Basingstoke area for an experienced Shift Leader to take ownership of their afternoon shift. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on keeping a production floor running smoothly - hitting output targets, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and getting the best out of their team. What you''ll be doing You''ll lead and supervise the production team during your shift, allocating tasks and resource to meet the production plan, and running clear shift briefings and handovers so nothing gets lost between teams. You''ll monitor output against targets, stepping in quickly to address any shortfalls, and support efficient changeovers and line set-up to keep downtime to a minimum. Additionally, you''ll also maintain accurate production records using in-house systems, carry out quality checks and take corrective action where needed, and help maintain hygiene standards across the shift, including cleaning schedules and housekeeping. On the people side, you''ll motivate, coach and support your team, handling performance and conduct matters in line with company procedure, and you''ll help develop team members so they''re able to step up and cover shift leader duties when needed.
