Production Planning Supervisor

Overview We are looking for a proactive Production Planning Supervisor to support and coordinate planning activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves overseeing day-to-day planning operations, supporting planners, and ensuring production schedules are delivered efficiently to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the production planning function on a day-to-day basis Assist in the creation and maintenance of production schedules in line with demand forecasts Ensure plans are realistic and aligned with capacity, labour, and material availability Monitor performance against plan and adjust schedules to minimise disruption Act as a key link between production, procurement, warehouse, and engineering teams Support the resolution of planning issues such as shortages, delays, or capacity constraints Review stock levels and help maintain optimal inventory and service levels Ensure accurate data is maintained within ERP/MRP systems Produce and review planning reports and KPIs Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning process Key Skills and Experience Experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar manufacturing role Some experience supervising or mentoring others (direct or indirect) Good understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Competent in Excel and familiar with ERP/MRP systems Ability to communicate effectively across ..... full job details .....
