Production Planner

Job Summary
Twinplast is a SME manufacturer of Plastic Sheeting. The role of The Production Planner is to ensure all machines (production, recycling and conversion) are used in the most efficent and effective way possible, taking into account Customer Requirements, Raw Materials, and Staffing levels

Duties

• Create, plan, and route work orders through the manufacturing process
• Understand raw material requirements for manufactured parts
• Release works orders daily in line with production priorities and capacity
• Print and prepare works orders, drawings and documentation for manufacture
• Create and review planning BOM reports and correct planning/BOM errors
• Process and manage engineering change requests through planning and manufacturing
• Support make/buy decisions with Production and Purchasing
• Work closely with logistics to ensure Finished Goods are shipped in a timely manner
• Communicate priorities, issues and progress clearly to production teams via Daily management stand-up meetings
• Support continuous improvement activity within planning and production

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Proven experience or familiarity with ERP systems, or supply chain management is highly desirable
• Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
• Good understanding of process improvement methodologies and quality control standards
• Prior experience in stock management or warehouse operations is preferred but not essential
• A proactive attitude towards safety, efficiency, and continuous learning
