Production Planner

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Production Planner for a leading Leicestershire based food manufacturerThis is a permanent position direct with our clientThe Job: Issue effective and efficient daily and weekly production schedules for all bakeries to optimise customer service (high SKU mix)Re-develop the planning and forecasting system.Work closely with the bakeries to continuously improve the planning process.Work closely with Stock Control and Production Manager to ensure all raw materials, equipment and manning is in place for productionThis will is suited to planners more experienced with planning based on people i.e. number and skills available rather than about equipment and machine capacity Key Tasks: Develop a weekly planConvert the weekly plan to a daily schedule and issue to all bakeriesBuild and maintain the long term weekly forecastAnalyse data and generate reports on production metrics, such as efficiency and utilizationLead planning meetingsResolve scheduling conflicts and adjust production schedules as neededFind ways to improve productivity and reduce costsAlign available raw materials, equipment and manning with Stock Control and Production ManagerEnsure Health Safety and Food Safety standards are maintained.To carry out any reasonable request made of you by your Manager.
