Production Planner

I am recruiting on behalf of an industry leader in food manufacturing. I am looking for a Production Planner for a 12-month FTC to cover a maternity period. What you''ll be doing:Developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, actual demand, and inventory levelsManaging raw material, packaging, and finished goods inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocksWorking closely with Sales, Production, NPD, Engineering and Warehouse to support accurate demand forecastingSupporting capacity planning and resource allocation to keep production running efficientlyMonitoring production progress, flagging risks to OTIF, and implementing corrective actionLiaising with suppliers to stay ahead of any potential supply interruptionsSupporting Customer Service tasks and covering absences/holidays where neededGetting involved in Continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesSupporting the design and rollout of a new ERP/WMS system as part of a cross-functional team What you''ll bring:Solid experience as a Production Planner, ideally within FMCG or chilled foodA strong analytical mindset with good problem solving skillsExperience with production planning software and ERP systemsWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing principlesConfidence building relationships across the supply chainStrong organisational skills, attention to detail, ..... full job details .....
