MERITUS are recruiting for a Production Planner to join a national security business based in Hampshire in a permanent role within a new, growing manufacturing unit.PRODUCTION PLANNER - DEFENCE OR ELECTRONICS BACKGROUND - £NEG PER ANNUM + AMAZING PACKAGE - HAMPSHIRE, UK - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - MUST UNDERGO SC CLEARANCEAs the Production Planner, you''ll be responsible for planning manufacturing activities, coordinating material availability, and ensuring production schedules are achieved. Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial and Programme teams, you''ll manage work-in-progress, support inventory control and help drive continuous improvement across the planning process.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain production plans to meet customer delivery schedules.Manage MRP recommendations and material requirements.Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely procurement of materials.Monitor production progress and resolve scheduling issues.Work closely with Engineering to implement design changes into production.Support inventory management, stock control, cycle counts and WIP reporting.Produce and maintain production documentation.Identify opportunities to improve planning and MRP processes.Provide planning support across the manufacturing function and deputise for the Manufacturing Manager when required.About YouProven experience in a Production Planner or Manufacturing Planner role.Previous experience within a manufacturing or ..... full job details .....
