This role ensures that manufacturing operations align effectively with customer demands through the creation and management of efficient production schedules for both standard and custom products.Job purpose: Production Planning CoordinatorYou will coordinate the planning of varied production runs, from repeat orders to bespoke customer requirements. A key focus will be optimising the use of existing components and materials to manufacture new parts cost-effectively whilst maintaining high-quality standards.Design and implement detailed production schedules for both standard and custom products to meet customer demands whilst optimising efficiency and cost-effectivenessRevise production schedules when required due to design changes, material shortages, or operational interruptionsCoordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and componentsCollaborate effectively with sales and product development teams to forecast future production requirementsAnalyse production specifications and plant capacity to determine optimal resource requirements for varied product mixesMonitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, with particular attention to component reusabilityCompile and analyse production data to support continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimisationManage and administer the in-house system for incoming and outgoing ordersMaintain accurate records and documentation to support operational transparencyIdentify and drive improvements in production planning processes and procedures2-5 years of experience in manufacturing pr production environments, preferably in job-shop or custom manufacturing operationsProven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination with exposure to varied product requirementsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes for precision components, preferably within regulated or high-quality industriesExperience with production planning software and ERP/MRP systemsExcel Skills, and data analysis functions along with a strong knowledge of Microsoft office packagesCompetency in database management and reporting systemsFamiliarity with inventory management principles and practicesAnalytical excellenceStrong communicationOrganised excellenceProblem-solving focusThe Package: Production Planning CoordinatorCompetitive salary packageEarly Friday finish (15:15) supporting excellent work life balance22 days annual leave plus bank holidaysCompany pension scheme with employer contributionsOption to join comprehensive health insurance plan after 6 months of serviceProfessional development opportunities and training supportStable, family owned company environment with international reachOpportunity to work with cutting edge equipment in the manufacture of precision optical accessories and spectrophotometer cellsScope to grow within the role and drive process ..... full job details .....
