Production Planner

Job Title: Production Planner Location: Hailsham Salary: £36,000-£38,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm HRGO Recruitment are working with a busy and fast-paced manufacturing business in Hailsham to recruit a proactive, highly organised Production Planner. This is a pivotal role, ensuring machinery and labour are planned to maximise efficiency while responding quickly to unplanned changes such as breakdowns, absenteeism, and changing customer requirements. You''ll act as a key link between Sales, Transport, Warehouse and Production, keeping plans realistic, aligned and deliverable. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain production schedules to meet shipping dates, based on sales/stock forecasts and customer MTM orders. Monitor the status and progress of assigned work orders, identifying risks and acting early to protect delivery dates. Order raw materials from approved suppliers in time to support production requirements. Provide clear, data-driven reports to highlight performance, constraints, and efficiency/profitability opportunities. Plan, organise and manage workloads to ensure work is completed to required standards and timescales. Drive and support operational improvements across the production function. Liaise closely with Sales, Transport and Warehouse teams to ensure production plans are achievable. Raise supplier return documentation (RTNs) and coordinate material disposal once credit is agreed.
