Production Planner

BasildonSalary - Negotiable DOEMonday - Friday daysYour new role:Based in South Essex, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company which specialises in automotive component design. With a large order book and continuous projects for the next 3-6 years, this is an excellent time to join an ever-expanding business.This is a varied position with responsibility for coordinating production and some supply chain activities across the organisation.You will manage the planning process from customer demand and material availability through to supplier coordination, production scheduling and final product delivery. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Stores and external suppliers, you will help ensure materials, resources and production activities are effectively alignedKey Responsibilities and Duties:Develop and maintain production schedulesCreate production plans aligned with customer demand and wider business objectives.Manage capacity across assembly, machining, inspection, testing and supporting functions.Produce material requirements plans that support production schedules.Manage demand forecasts for components, consumables and raw materials.Work with Purchasing to monitor supplier performance and delivery scheduleThis is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.Skills and Experience required:Previous experience in production planning, supply chain planning or manufacturing planning.Experience within an engineering, ..... full job details .....
