Our client are a precision manufacturing business, based in Birmingham, specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components. The Production Planner will be responsible for organising production according to demand and quality standards. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Planner will play a key role in ensuring goods are produced on time for delivery to the customer.

Job Description
- Coordinate production workflow. Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Determine and plan manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.), and update required communication channels i.e. Obeya (production)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including quality control & stores
Production Planner
Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Experience in production planning and quality control principles in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mathematical skills (Maths degree, Grade C A Level, Grade 6 GCSE)
- Strong skills, knowledge and experience of ERP systems
- Strong skills, knowledge and experience of MS Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook etc.)
- Excellent and proven interpersonal skills and communicator
- Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
