Location: Beckton, E6 6LF
Shifts: Double Days - Early Shift: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00, Friday 06:00-13:00; Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:00-22:00, Friday 13:00-20:00.
Pay Rate: £16.21
The Production Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. The role requires adherence to health, safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to overall site performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or issues.
  • Complete quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Support problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Assist with training and supporting colleagues when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs (Grade A-C / Grade 4-9) or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and COSHH regulations is desirable.
  • An understanding of basic mechanical principles and production equipment would be beneficial.
