Production Operator: Precious Metals ManufacturingLocation: RoystonContract type: 12 months Salary: 21.55 per hourAbout the roleOur client, a well-established specialist in precious metals and advanced materials, is looking for a Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. You''ll help produce Platinum group metal (PGM) alloys, processing ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customers.Key responsibilitiesWorking safely and reporting any incidents promptlyFollowing operating procedures and recording process information accuratelySetting up and operating machinery to agreed standardsUsing measuring equipment (including micrometers and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor product qualityPreparing quality samples and inspection documentationInspecting and packaging materialsAbout youA willingness to follow safe systems of workStrong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accuratelyGood communication skills and a team-player attitudeExperience in a manufacturing environment, good manual dexterity and basic Word/Excel skills are desirableGood to knowFactory-based role, with manual handling of items up to 20kg at timesUniform and PPE required at all timesA restricted metals policy applies (limits on metal items such as jewellery, wallets and phones), and employees are searched when leaving the siteApply NOW for immediate consideration.
