ZETEC are recruiting an experienced Production Operative for an established manufacturing business based in Wirral.

This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment and will involve regular manual handling and some heavy lifting. You will support the production of high-quality products while ensuring output, safety and quality standards are consistently maintained.

The role would suit someone with previous manufacturing experience who is comfortable operating machinery and following production instructions as part of a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment

• Setting up and preparing equipment and materials for production

• Manual handling of materials, products and components

• Carrying out some heavy lifting as part of the day-to-day role

• Monitoring the manufacturing process to ensure consistent output

• Carrying out routine quality checks on products and components

• Identifying and reporting production, quality or equipment issues

• Working to production schedules, targets and customer requirements

• Completing production records and relevant documentation

• Carrying out basic equipment checks and supporting minor adjustments where required

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the production area

• Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

• Following all company Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices

About You

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment

• Experience operating production machinery or industrial equipment

• Good mechanical awareness and practical ability

• Comfortable in a hands-on production role

• Ability to carry out manual handling and some heavy lifting

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to follow operating procedures and production instructions

• A reliable and flexible approach to work

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A strong commitment to Health & Safety

This is a permanent Monday to Friday day-shift position offering a salary of -29,000 - -32,000 per annum, with the opportunity to join a stable manufacturing business and develop within the operation.
