Overview of the Production Operative role:
The Production Operator at Tuffa Tanks will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the rotomoulding machinery of our range of plastic storage tanks. Your work will involve machine operation, quality checks and supporting production activities, prioritised in line with production schedules and the operational needs of the business.
What Production Operative will be doing:
- Preparing moulds for manufacture, including loading, positioning and securing moulds.
- Operating rotomoulding machinery and de-moulding products ready for assembly.
- Regulating machinery by setting and adjusting controls.
- Preparing, cutting and assembling moulded tanks.
- Using cranes and lifting equipment to move products safely.
- Maintaining stock levels by checking raw materials against anticipated demand and reporting shortages.
- Completing production and quality documentation accurately.
- Using power, air and hand tools as part of daily production activities.
- Reporting maintenance requirements, repairs and faulty equipment to your supervisor.
- Working closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.

- Confident using PCs and tablets to accurately record production data throughout the cook process.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience operating machinery and equipment in a factory setting.
- Familiarity with production, stock control or manufacturing software.
- Experience using power, air and hand tools.
- Experience using overhead cranes or lifting equipment (training can be provided).
- Experience using FLT/Combi (Preferred).
