Production Operative

Production Operative Location: Portersfield Road - Birmingham Salary: Competitive Vacancy Type: Permanent - Full Time We are looking for a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. Working as part of a busy production environment, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, helping to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a varied hands-on role where you will gain experience across multiple production functions. You will operate and support CNC machinery, assist with assembly projects when required, and contribute to the smooth running of manufacturing operations. Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 7.30am-4pm Friday: 7.30am-1.30pm Key Duties and Responsibilities Assemble components accurately in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Operate CNC machinery safely and effectively, following all training, operating procedures, and company guidelines. Record measurements, photographs, and build progress at each stage using a tablet, identifying and reporting any discrepancies against engineering drawings or specifications. Use overhead cranes and forklifts safely to transport materials and components to and from workstations. Work collaboratively as part of the production team, including undertaking paired or team-based tasks when required.
